About the role

Y-Not Collective is a global innovation and marketing powerhouse built to support every stage of a brand’s journey, from concept to culture shift — a hybrid of innovation, design, and industrial execution built to disrupt the traditional world of promotional products. Our mission is to build a high-performance organization where people, processes, and culture drive business growth.

Within six months, success looks like a structured recruitment pipeline, faster and higher-quality hiring, smooth payroll and compliance coordination, a working performance management system, and a transparent, accountable internal HR culture.

What you will own

Talent acquisition (~70–80% of the role)
Own full-cycle hiring: workforce planning, structured hiring processes, job portals, vendors and sourcing channels, screening and interviewing, reducing time-to-hire, and strengthening employer branding.
Internal HR systems and processes
Design HR policies and SOPs, build dashboards and reporting, and improve HR workflows, automation, and technology systems.
Performance management
Own it company-wide: goal-setting frameworks, review cycles, manager support, and performance improvement plans.
Employee relations and culture
Manage grievances and conflict resolution, conduct disciplinary investigations, and advise managers on people issues.
Payroll and compliance oversight
Brief and review our outsourced payroll and compliance vendors, catch issues early, support audits and inspections, and maintain HR documentation.
HR analytics and reporting
Track hiring performance, attrition, and engagement metrics to inform leadership decisions.

You will be a good fit if

  • You take full ownership of your work.
  • You solve problems instead of escalating them.
  • You build processes instead of managing chaos.
  • You think like a business leader, not an administrator.
  • You maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • You want to work directly with leadership and have real impact building and scaling a talent acquisition function.

Skills and experience

  • Talent acquisition leadership (core skill)
  • HR operations and internal process design
  • Working knowledge of labour law, payroll, and statutory compliance — enough to coordinate vendors, not to process hands-on
  • Employee relations management
  • Vendor and cross-team coordination
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • 5+ years of HR experience, with a strong core in full-cycle talent acquisition.
  • A proven track record owning end-to-end hiring in a growing organization.
  • Working exposure to Indian labour law, payroll, and HR compliance — enough to coordinate confidently with outsourced partners. Direct execution experience is not required.
  • Experience managing internal HR task management and processes.
  • Or, in lieu of the above: kick-ass street smarts, great communication, a significant knowledge base, a growth mindset, and a sense of urgency that it is now or never.

No specific certifications are required — working knowledge of Indian labour law, payroll, and statutory compliance is expected.

What this role is not

  • A generalist HR administrator role — the core mandate is talent acquisition, at roughly 70–80% of your time.
  • A payroll or compliance execution role — processing and statutory filings sit with outsourced partners; this role coordinates, reviews, and quality-checks their work.
